Theater actress and singer Abigail Dufresne will perform with the Lakes Region Symphony Orchestra on May 19th and 20th, 2018.
The Lakes Region Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of conductor and music director Benjamin Greene, invites you to their final concerts of the 2017-2018 season with two performances on Saturday May 19, 2018 at 7:30pm, and Sunday May 20, 2018 at 3:00pm. Both performances are at Inter-Lakes Auditorium in Meredith.
Their eclectic mix of timeless themes from Broadway and beyond, will be performed POPS-style with special
guest vocalist and theatre performer Abigail Dufresne. Abby will showcase her unique vocal versatility with selections ranging from "I Dreamed a Dream" from Les Miserables, Barbra Streisand's enduring "Evergreen", Michel Legrand's haunting "What Are You Doing the Rest of Your Life", and other Broadway medleys. The LRSO will delight with popular instrumental classics from Leroy Anderson including "The Typewriter" and "Blue Tango", and hits including "Fiddler on the Roof", "Pink Panther", "The Shadow of Your Smile", and many more.
Featured performer Abigail Dufresne attends the University of Rhode Island where she is slated to receive a BFA in acting and costume design, and has studied theatre at The Stella Adler Studio of Acting. Abigail fell in love with performing at the age of ten when she proudly portrayed a hamburger in a children's theatre production of Willy Wonka and has never looked back.
Abigail has performed in Italy, Canada, and across the Northeast. Some of her theatre credits include Spring Awakening, On the Town, The Music Man, Legally Blonde, Guys and Dolls, Antigone, The Caucasian Chalk Circle, Romeo and Juliet, A Midsummer Night's Dream, The Tempest, and Much Ado About Nothing.
The May 19th and 20th concerts are the final concerts of the LRSO's 2017-2018 season. Last May's "Sinatra" concert was sold out. POPS concerts sell quickly so don't delay. Tickets are only $20 for adults and $10 for students college-age and under. Tickets are available online at

The Lakes Region Symphony Orchestra is a Meredith-based, non-profit orchestra that performs throughout the fall, winter, and spring months. Orchestra members range in age from teens through retired seniors, representing over 36 communities in the Lakes Region and beyond.
