Though many of northern New Hampshire's ski areas closed their slopes for skiing and snowboarding back in April, they will soon be buzzing with activity for summer. Summer operations kick off as early as Memorial Day Weekend for most northern ski areas, and extend many opportunities for weekend warriors and vacationing families to explore the mountains.
New for 2017,
Bretton Woods has added foot-golf, a combination of soccer, golf and pickleball,
Cranmore cut a new summit hiking loop & their summit Meister Hut will serve as the only satellite tasting room for
Tuckerman Brewing Company, and
Loon Mountain has added a fleet of eight Giant E+ bikes for guests to use on their paved pathways.
In addition to activities like golf, mountain biking, hiking, horseback riding, yoga, and Segway tours, the following tried-and-true pastimes can be found all summer long at these resorts:
Aerial Adventures and Ziplines - Bretton Woods, Cranmore Mountain Resort, and Loon Mountain Resort.
Boating/Kayaking - Cannon Mountain, King Pine Ski Area at Purity Spring Resort, Great Glen Trails and Waterville Valley.
Mountain Coasters - Cranmore Mountain Resort and Gunstock Mountain Resort.
Scenic Chairlift Rides - Bretton Woods, Cannon Mountain, Cranmore Mountain, Loon Mountain Resort, and Waterville Valley.
Be sure to check our Expanded Calendar for events at the various ski areas.
