At 3.8 square miles, Martin's Location is located entirely in the White Mountain National Forest and ties the nation's lowest town population density.

OK ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the township with no population. Zero, according to the 2010 census. Just moose, deer, bears and campers!

The Dolly Copp campground is located here, in an area that nestles up to Gorham, just to the north along Route 16. Hayes Copp, (1806-1889) and his wife Dolly Emery Copp (1807-1891), were the first settlers here, so that's where the name comes from. Dolly was an early Martha Stewart, of sorts, making guests feel comfortable and welcome after difficult mountain treks — or, perhaps, she was just glad to see someone other than her husband Hayes after long, lonely winters on the edge of civilization. The Dolly Copp campground has been a favorite of families since, blending the wilderness feel with picnic areas with a great view of the Peabody River, and many trails including the Big Meadow Trail.
