INTERVALE, NH - Starting Thursday, June 21st, The Believe in Books Literacy Foundation's Summer Bookmobile hits the road again for it's second year! Between 14 stops throughout 10 towns, we hope many readers will enjoy this free literacy program offered throughout the Northern New Hampshire.
First, patrons of Story Land will be able to visit the bookmobile right inside the park and also have the opportunity to visit with a special character from the 100-Acre Wood every Thursday through August 30th. Between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm, the BIBLF Bookmobile will be distributing new and used books while it is parked next to the Loopy Lab Theater & Play Area. A character from the 100-Acre Wood will be making appearances hourly at the half hour mark.
On Mondays, the Bookmobile will be making appearances at the Whitney Center in Jackson, the Gorham Common Park and Libby Pool in Gorham and the Community Field and Grand Trunk Park in Berlin. On Tuesdays, visitors at Lamplighters Park, the North Conway Community Center and Cranmore Mountain Resort in North Conway will have the chance to see the new Bookmobile and browse through books. Wednesdays throughout the summer, the BIBLF Bookmobile travels to the Josiah Bartlett Elementary School in Bartlett, the HOBO Railroad and Jean's Playhouse in Lincoln, and Burke Field in Madison.
The BIBLF Summer Bookmobile is a free literacy program that is offered to the different communities through fundraising efforts with BIBLF. Patrons are also encouraged to bring gently used books at the Bookmobile stops as we are always accepting donations.
