This place has everything for the active couple or family. Biking, running, paddling, white water rafting and cross-country skiing are all available at Great Glen Trails. This recreation facility is located next door to the Mount Washington Auto Road access, eight miles south of Gorham, NH.

The choices are yours: A gentle paddle on a wandering stream, or the thrill of rafting the rapids. A gentle bike ride in the wilderness or challenging mountain bike trails. All members of the family will find their 'happy place," whether that's quietly communing with nature, or conquering a challenge.

Great Glen offers a variety of fitness and cross-country skiing camps for children of all ages, including:

• Jumping and stretching exercises.
• Uphill hiking
• Games
• Balance and team building challenges
• Agility and muscle-strengthening exercises

Great Glen offers an outfitter's shop, with a wide selection of gear, clothing and brands. You will get practical and experienced advice from the pros that may not be available at your mall at home.

Runners are treated to a number of races and events, such as the Salmon Spring race series, open to all with various categories.

Dining is available and the views from the Glen View Café are absolutely breathtaking. A table on the deck may be the best seat in the White Mountains!

A variety of other dining is available nearby in Gorham, about 10 minutes north, or North Conway, about 25 minutes south.
